Hand Made Bouzoukis

The Irish Bouzouki is available in a number of variations. I build it with two different sizes of body and with a scale length of 65cm as standard. Normally it will have 8 strings but can also have an extra pair tuned lower.

The standard version has a great sound with the characteristic Bouzouki top end and clarity. The deeper than standard body accentuates the bass end and gives the tone a full richness with projection and sustain.

The Large Body version of the Bouzouki, sometimes also called a Blarge, gives an extra dimension to the sound. The top end retains its clarity, the middle and bass have an added fullness and richness. The projection and sustain of the instrument is superb.
